Building/Inspection/Zoning Overview

The Building Department is responsible for enforcement of State and Local Building Codes and to ensure that building activities throughout the Town are in compliance with zoning laws and standards. Building, plumbing, electrical and other permits are issued through the Building Official's office.

The office is open Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursday,
8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Inspections for permits issued through this department are conducted, by calling Sue at (401) 767-2200
