Adoption Policy:
After meeting the pet you would like to adopt, the ACO or a volunteer will perform a brief screening. Depending on the status of the pet you are choosing (i.e. vaccinations, spay/neuter, etc.) the Shelter requires that you leave a deposit which will be returned after you obtain proof of spay/neuter, and rabies vaccines from the veterinarian of your choice. From there you will be asked to complete the necessary adoption paperwork, once that is complete the pet will then be released to you.

Adoption Costs:
Any per that is spayed/neutered: $70.00
If pet is not spayed/neutered: Dogs: $45.00 + $25.00 (refundable deposit) + $5.00 (town fee)
Cats: $35.00 + $25.00(refundable deposit)

Volunteers:
The Shelter is always in need of volunteers to assist in the care of the animals. Please contact the Shelter for further information on becoming a volunteer. The Shelter also provides work for those who are mandated to perform community service.

Donations:
Pet supplies and cash donations are always accepted and greatly appreciated.
