The 11th Annual North Smithfield Great Pumpkin Festival is this Saturday, September 16th

The 11th Annual North Smithfield Great Pumpkin Festival will be held on Saturday, September 16, from 10am – 4pm, rain or shine, on the grounds of North Smithfield Middle School at 1850 Providence Pike.

The musical lineup for this year’s fall event includes many family friendly acts such as Mr. Rowland Music Man;  On Stage One "Louie Likes it Hot,” Classic Rock, Rhythm & Blues 11:00am - 1:00pm, followed by "Charlie Marie" a Country solo artist 1:30pm - 2:30pm.  On Stage Two “Jesse Liam Band” will entertain us with popular music from the Everly Brothers and Beatles to the current charts including Jason Mraz, Train, Bruno Mars

For the 2nd year the PumpkinFest has included a Car Show with Antique and Exotic Cars, which is enjoyed by young and old.  As always, local small business retail vendors and Non-Profit Organizations will be presenting their best foods, lots of free games, Dunk Tank, crafts, activities as well as the Bubble Guy and BoBo the Clown will be returning.

This year’s Pumpkin Festivals will have a theme of “SAFTEY” … Home, Family and Self; to accomplish this we have obtained, with the help of the NS Police Department, The RI Police Command Center for demonstrations.  We will also have demonstrations of the Crash Dummy Testing and the NS Fire Department will have its Fire Safety House available for viewing, many Service Vehicles will be in our Touch-a-Truck. 

Additionally, will be having a Pumpkin Carving/Decorating Contest, with prizes to be presented at the 1st Annual NS High School PumpkinFest Bowl game to be held that evening September 16th against Central Falls.

Pre-Admission buttons can be purchased in advance for $1 per person, at the following locations NS Town Hall, NS ‘Lil General, R & D Seafood, Wright’s Dairy, Goodwin Bros. and NS Walgreens.  Admission purchased at the gate on September 16th is $2 per person.
