Covid-19 Vaccine Information
Vaccination Update

The Town of North Smithfield has only been allotted a total of 320 vaccines from the State.

80 per week will be scheduled for the next 3 weeks, (80 have already been administered).

The COVID-19 Vaccination for the residents of North Smithfield 75 years of age and older is about to enter the second week of scheduled vaccinations being performed at Monsignor Gadoury School (Our Lady Queen of Martyrs), 1409 Park Ave, Woonsocket, RI.

We will be receiving our second allotment of 80 vaccinations for week two of vaccinations on February 25th.

As directed by the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH), here are the guidelines we are following:

Vaccines are being distributed according to age only.  At this point RIDOH is not taking health history into consideration.

Once we are sent the link, the names (starting with the oldest) will be entered into a database and an appointment time will be assigned.  You will then be contacted with a date and time for your appointment.

We will then wait for the next link for week three to be sent to us from the RIDOH and continue in chronological order.

We are working with the City of Woonsocket at the Point of Distributions (POD). Our efforts, volunteers, staff, etc. will be shared. Our 80 vaccines per week allotment will not be shared, the Town of North Smithfield and the City of Woonsocket receives their own vaccines, and they WILL NOT BE SHARED.

We have volunteers in our Emergency Management Agency Office (EMA) Monday – Thursday, 9:00A.M. - 4:00P.M. and Friday 9:00A.M. – 12:00P.M., taking calls from our residents and entering them into our database. Please have patience with our volunteers, they are receiving numerous calls and are returning calls as fast as they can.

If you cannot get through please try calling again in the afternoon, mornings are the busiest. It will not affect your place in line, again the vaccines are being given out by age not by time of call to the EMA office.

EMA office 401-767-2200 extension 510

By the end of the day Thursday, February 25th we will have only 160 vaccines remaining for residents age 85 and younger.

For a possible earlier vaccination opportunity visit the State website at www.vaccinateri.org

If you have submitted an application, with the Town of North Smithfield, please be assured that as we reach each age bracket, and vaccines are still available, you will be contacted by one of our volunteers and will be advised of your vaccination appointment date and time. We are currently booking appointments from the eldest and working our way down the list in chronological order.

If you have signed up though the Town of North Smithfield and have decided to receive your vaccine elsewhere, please call our volunteers so we can remove your name from the list.
